THE WORLD CHAMPION OF BRIDGES

Originally built over a canal, before automobiles. Trains used me all the time, back when we built things in Syracuse. The canal was covered and became the Onondaga Lake Parkway when autos overtook horses.

ABOUT OLP BRIDGE

Every other day, it seems, tractor trailers hit me. Standing at 10'9" tall, I'm short for a bridge. It would appear that most folks can't read. The city and the state have spent millions of dollars on signs, road paint and studies-- all to stop me from being hit. Yet, no matter how many hits I've taken-- I'm still here.
